2026 Farmer for a Day
During the peony harvest season, our Farmers are hard at work from dawn to the dusk of the midnight sun.
In 2026, we are initiating a pilot volunteer program. The program will take place during the peony harvest.
We welcome volunteers from age 14 to 80+ depending on one’s mobility and agility. Volunteers will participate in peony farm tasks such as:
- Harvest prep (side bud removal, plant support, weeding)
- Harvest assistance (catching armloads of flowers, stripping excess leaves, running flowers to the cooler)
- Deadheading blooms from the field
- And shredding flower heads
Tasks will vary from week to week.
Be prepared for uneven ground, sun and rain.
A water bottle and snacks are highly recommended.
Strippers and shredders might want to bring their own chair.
